Description:

The project aimed at the living security of tribal families displaced from their ancestral abode and shabbily and insecurely rehabilitated on vacant lands. The subject matter of the project being housing development, the activities were related to construction and mobilization of the community. In the precise context of it the project sought to build a new house with simple structure attached with toilet facilities. The plinth area of the proposed houses was maximum 38 m2 and for the toilet, 2,3 m2. Low cost and locally available materials (wood) have been used for the construction. The main issue faced by the NGO has been linked with the availability of building materials such as bricks and sand.
