Description:

This project, carried out in Central Tanzania, aimed at creating favourable housing environments like enabling the provision of clean water, the building of latrines and the repair of roofs to families mainly led by widows (victims of HIV/AIDS) so that the attractive home environments could make their children stay at home rather than running away from homes due to poor housing. The places for constructing new toilets were selected and prepared by the families including removing and clearing all unwanted bodies in the construction areas. The drinking water points have been installed by the Iringa Urban Water Authority.
